Morita Pawn-Shop has been used by many customers in Shizuoka since it was established over 120 years ago. With roots in the local community, we research products and appraise market prices on a daily basis, and have made many achievements and won trust from customers for our appraisals, pawned items, and trade-ins.
At our store, we offer both pawn and trade-in services, and we handle various items with an eye for appraisal cultivated over many years, including gold, platinum, and bullion, as well as jewelry, such as diamonds and rubies, high brand products from Hermès and Louis Vuitton, and more.
Morita Pawn-Shop’s mission is to maximize the value of our customer’s important items with our strong track record and eye for appraisal, and to carefully keep items entrusted to us until the deadline.
While it is unthinkable now, but when the company was first founded, craftsmen would sometimes leave the important shirushibanten they received from their masters in the morning and come back in the evening to pick them up. Our business is based on a relationship of trust with our customers. Even in the Reiwa era, our store considers a relationship of trust with our customers to be our top priority.
We will not only take care to reduce the need for our customers to meet each other as much as possible, but we will also protect personal information.

Pawnshop
In the pawn system, items are held as collateral to lend money to the owner.
Use our service when you need money but do not want to let go of important items, or worried about taking loans.
Unlike trade-ins, you can take the item home at any time as long as you pay the principal and pawn fee within the storage period. If you cannot make the repayment within the deposit period, you can extend the deposit period by paying a pawn fee. If you have difficulty repaying the loan, or if you no longer need the item during the period of custody, it will be forfeited after the period of custody ends, there is no need to repay the loan. Of course, there are no collections or reminders.
The basic loan period is 3 months.

After the free appraisal, we will buy the item for trade-in with cash payment.

Pawnshop system

What does it mean to "pawn something"?
Bring your jewelry, precious metals, watches, luxury bags, or other items to our pawnshop. We will appraise the item on the spot and lend you an amount of money that matches the item you have entrusted to us. As long as you pay the principal and pawn fee within the deadline, you can take the item home with you at any time. Even if you can’t repay these fees by the deadline, there will be no reminders or collections. Our pawnshop will sell the item. This is called “pawn forfeiture”
When "pawning something"
1. First, come to our store.
Bring your items and ID to our store.
2. We appraise your item.
Appraisals are done immediately. If you accept the amount after the appraisal, we issue a pawn ticket as a deposit receipt
3. We keep your item and pay cash immediately.
If the appraisal amount does not meet your expectations, you can take the item home. We do not charge any appraisal fees or commissions.
4. Our storage period is 3 months.
The deposit period is 3 months. If you can pay the principal and pawn fee during that time, you can take your item home at any time. Prices are displayed at the store.
If you can’t take back your item within this period, you can extend the deposit period by paying only the pawn fee. If you no longer need the item during the deposit period or it is difficult to make repayment, ownership of the item will be transferred to our store after the period of custody, so it is not necessary to repay your loan
What about “trade-in”?
We can take your item for cash as a trade-in. You may be able to get more money than by a simple deposit. Please note that the item cannot be returned after you do a trade-in. We recommend this method if you do not mind letting go of your item.
